Adam Jansch

Music technologist, composer, performer, sound artist, media artist, electronic hardware builder, software programmer, graphic designer, photographer, web designer… these terms offer some description of the elements which make up the creative practice of Adam Jansch. Adam however prefers the term ‘multi-creative’ – a conflation of the pertinent aspects of those term mentioned along with several other.

Adam is undertaking a PhD in music composition at the University of Huddersfield, under the supervision of Monty Adkins and Pierre Alexandre Tremblay. His current research looks at strategies for freeing the record, the primary medium for mass disseminated music, from its fixity. The outcomes of this research involve a range of artistic implementations – conceptual software, hardware-based pop, media installations amongst them.
