Week of Speakers21st June 2009

This week I’ve decided to dedicate my post to Week of Speakers, a three day multi-speaker event instigated by Scott Hewitt, hosted at the University of Huddersfield. From my perspective the most significant part of WOFS is a performance by the University of Huddersfield Synth Ensemble, in which I am performing. Hewitt’s Args is the piece, based around the shaping of synthesizer parameters, and I will be performing on my Darkstar XP2 synth module alongside Hewitt, Scott McLauglin, Rich Glover and Joseph Kurdirka, with Samuel Freeman diffusing.

Due to being incredibly tired from setting up speakers all day I can’t really think of anything else to write, so I will sign off here for this week.

With three concerts, two workshops and dozens of sandwiches it was well worth the short trip from Huddersfield. Read full post…
