Improvisation at Expo Leeds27th September 2009

A tiring week, which has seen myself perform as part of ii/HELO at Expo Leeds. Within the 20 minute improvisation, teamed by a number of instrumentalists and laptop performers, I made use of the Supercollider patches developed from Supercollider a day, and enjoyed the experience thoroughly.

And this post is the penultimate one before I switch over to the Open Sound Objectives blog, which provides a more comprehensive site for my work.

Sonic Spatial Perspectives, Lily and OSC8th February 2009

Another busy week, but one which was full of interest. First off was Sonic Spatial Perspectives at Leeds Metropolitan University, a two day event covering mostly the art of sound diffusion. Featured were Professor Jonty Harrison and part of the BEAST setup (only 70 of the 112 speakers…), as well as Dave Moore and James Mooney’s RESOUND software. With three concerts, two workshops and dozens of sandwiches it was well worth the short trip from Huddersfield. Read full post…
